Randy Biegenzahn, LEED AP
Architect / Project Manager
Randy was born in Bellevue, Washington, raised in the Northwest, and moved to San Diego at the age of 16. He attended Poway High School, and Palomar College. After he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design, Applied Arts and Science from San Diego State University (SDSU), he went on to earn a Master of Architecture at NewSchool of Architecture and Design. Randy is a licensed California Architect as well as a USGBC LEED Accredited Professional.
The son of a craftsman cabinetmaker, carpenter and contractor, he learned the value of good design, respect for materials, and the process of building. This important foundation, provided by his father, inspired him to become an architect. The creativity and challenges of the profession inspire him every day. With over 20+ years of experience in the field of architecture, his projects include education, residential, commercial, life science, defense contracting, restaurant, and the manufacturing industries.
Randy joined Platt/Whitelaw Architects, left for a short time and rejoined us in January 2020. Randy is a wonderful asset to Platt/Whitelaw Architects.
